The Paradise, starring Nani and directed by Srikanth Odela, is set to release internationally on September 24. The film has reportedly received an ‘A’ certificate from the CBFC, restricting it to adult audiences. Its final runtime is 169 minutes, or 2 hours and 49 minutes.
The certification follows intense promotional material that presents a dark, action-driven world. However, the makers have not officially confirmed whether any cuts were made during the certification process.
Nani described The Paradise as the most physically and mentally demanding film of his 18-year career. He also clarified that rumours about an underwater sequence and a fight involving 1,000 people were inaccurate, although the film does feature several large-scale action sequences.
Interestingly, the team has decided not to release a full theatrical trailer before the premiere. Nani said the director and composer Anirudh Ravichander needed more time to create a trailer they were satisfied with, so they focused on completing the film instead. Despite its action-heavy promotions, Nani revealed that the story primarily centres on the emotional bond between a mother and her son. [Updated 17.09.2026]
